Class Action Claims You Should Know About Now

Each month brings new opportunities for consumers to recover money or benefits from companies that may have violated laws or consumer trust. In July 2025, several major class action settlements are closing, offering eligible individuals and businesses a chance to file claims before time runs out.

From data breaches and robocalls to misleading product labels and hidden fees, these settlements cover a wide range of issues. If you’ve purchased specific products or services, or received certain communications, you might be entitled to compensation.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of 10 open class action settlements you can still claim this July:

1. CVS Eye Drops Settlement – $1 Million

CVS has agreed to a $1 million settlement due to allegations that some store-brand eye drops were recalled because of unsanitary manufacturing conditions. If you bought any of the following CVS eye drop products between October 1, 2021, and October 25, 2023, you may qualify for a claim:

  • CVS Store Brand Lubricant Eye Drops
  • Lubricant Gel Drops
  • Multi-Action Relief Drops
  • Mild Moderate Lubricating Eye Drops

Claim Deadline: July 11, 2025

2. 23andMe Data Breach Settlement

A cyberattack in October 2023 exposed the personal and genetic data of 23andMe users. Despite ongoing bankruptcy proceedings, a settlement is being processed for affected users. Those who received a breach notification about the incident are eligible to file a claim.

Key Issue: Inadequate cybersecurity for highly sensitive personal data.

Claim Deadline: July 14, 2025

3. Google AdWords Click Fraud Settlement – $100 Million

Google has settled for $100 million over claims it overcharged advertisers for invalid clicks , specifically, ad clicks from locations outside the advertiser’s intended geographic targeting. This affects businesses and individuals who used Google AdWords from January 1, 2004, to December 13, 2012.

Key Issue: Violations of Google’s own ad traffic and targeting policies.

Claim Deadline: July 20, 2025

4. GM Fuel Pump Defect Settlement – $35 Million

General Motors is settling for $35 million over allegations that certain diesel trucks came with faulty fuel pumps. These defects reportedly caused engine stalls due to metal shavings damaging the fuel system.

Eligible Vehicles:
2011–2016 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra diesel trucks purchased from GM-authorized dealers in California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, New York, Pennsylvania, or Texas between March 1, 2010, and September 13, 2024.

Claim Deadline: July 21, 2025

5. Bronx Zoo Ticket Fees Settlement – $990,000

The Wildlife Conservation Society agreed to a $990,000 settlement over accusations it illegally charged processing fees on online Bronx Zoo ticket purchases. If you bought electronic tickets between August 28, 2022, and January 16, 2024, and paid a processing fee, you may qualify for compensation.

Claim Deadline: July 21, 2025

6. SeaWorld Auto-Renewal Settlement – $1.5 Million

SeaWorld has agreed to settle for $1.5 million over claims it failed to properly disclose auto-renewal terms for annual passes. The settlement applies to California residents who purchased a SeaWorld San Diego annual pass on or after February 28, 2019, and whose pass auto-renewed without refund before February 28, 2025.

Key Issue: Lack of clear and visible notice regarding recurring billing.

Claim Deadline: July 22, 2025

7. Deep River Potato Chips Settlement – $4 Million

Old Lyme Gourmet will pay $4 million to resolve allegations that it falsely labeled Deep River chips as having “non-GMO ingredients.” The presence of genetically modified content reportedly contradicted the product claims.

Eligible Purchases: Deep River chips labeled “non-GMO ingredients” bought between February 2, 2017, and December 6, 2024.

Potential Compensation: Up to $10 or more.

Claim Deadline: July 28, 2025

8. Traeger Wood Pellets Settlement – $1.5 Million

Traeger agreed to a $1.5 million settlement after customers alleged its wood pellets were falsely marketed as “100% hardwood.” In reality, the pellets contained a blend of hardwood and softwood.

Eligibility: If you purchased Traeger wood pellets in California or Utah (online or in-store) after October 1, 2015, you could receive a $3 coupon.

Claim Deadline: July 30, 2025

9. Raw Chicken Price-Fixing Settlement – $22.5 Million

An additional $22.5 million has been added to ongoing litigation involving alleged price-fixing by major poultry producers. Companies named include Tyson, Pilgrim’s Pride, George’s, Peco, Fieldale, Mar-Jac, and others.

Eligible Consumers: Anyone who bought fresh or frozen raw chicken from these producers between January 1, 2009, and July 31, 2019, in select states.

Key Issue: Collusion among poultry producers to inflate prices.

Claim Deadline: July 31, 2025

10. Momentum Solar Robocalls Settlement – $30 Million

Momentum Solar will pay $30 million to resolve claims that it made unauthorized telemarketing calls using autodialers or prerecorded messages. These calls reportedly violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Eligibility: Individuals who received two or more unsolicited telemarketing calls from March 5, 2015, to January 2, 2025, and were not Momentum Solar customers.

Claim Deadline: July 31, 2025
