Ford-Recalls-Surge

Since late May 2025, the FORD MOTOR COMPANY has launched a wave of FORD RECALLS, affecting millions of vehicles across a wide range of VEHICLE MODELS. From popular trucks like the FORD F-150 and SUPER DUTY TRUCKS to SUVs such as the FORD BRONCO, FORD ESCAPE, and luxury brands like LINCOLN CORSAIR and LINCOLN NAVIGATOR, the number of impacted vehicles is staggering.

Some of these recalls involve just a few units, while others affect hundreds of thousands. Many owners have already received NOTIFICATION LETTERS, while others may be unaware their vehicle is on the list.

These issues are not minor. They span from BRAKE FUNCTION and ENGINE STALLING to serious fire risks caused by FUEL LEAKS, CRACKED FUEL INJECTORS, and even ELECTRICAL SYSTEM malfunctions. Whether your car was recently purchased or has been on the road for years, the need for vigilance is more pressing than ever.

What’s Fueling the Increase in FORD RECALLS?

According to official statements, the FORD MOTOR COMPANY claims many of these recalls are “precautionary”,designed to ensure that previous fixes were successful. Others relate to the company’s broader strategy to detect SOFTWARE ISSUES and PRODUCT QUALITY problems through advanced CONNECTED DATA SIGNALING.

However, that explanation is not enough for many drivers and industry analysts. Issues like LOW-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP failure, recurring BRAKE FUNCTIONALITY errors, and faulty DIGITAL SAFETY SYSTEMS hint at deeper flaws in engineering and manufacturing oversight.

Some believe that the increase in recalls is the result of inconsistent quality control, especially at manufacturing plants such as the LOUISVILLE ASSEMBLY PLANT, FORD KENTUCKY TRUCK PLANT, and HERMOSILLO, SONORA. These facilities have been central to the production of some of the most heavily recalled models.

Which Models Are Affected?

Recent recalls impact more than 30 VEHICLE MODELS. Below is a breakdown of the most significant issues.

Fuel System Failures

FORD ESCAPE, FORD BRONCO SPORT, and FORD EXPEDITION show risks linked to FUEL LEAKS. CRACKED FUEL INJECTORS cause these leaks. When fuel meets an IGNITION SOURCE, it can trigger fires.

FORD MUSTANG, FORD MAVERICK, and LINCOLN CORSAIR also face issues. Their LOW-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP failures can cause ENGINE STALLING. As a result, crash risk increases.

Brake and Steering Concerns

Thousands of EXPLORER VEHICLES and F-150 TRUCKS show BRAKE FLUID leaks. FLUID LEAKS from front caliper bolts reduce braking performance. This creates serious safety risks.

In some cases, misrouted jounce hoses touch the tires. This contact can lead to loss of BRAKE FUNCTION. Therefore, drivers may lose control.

Electrical and Software Defects

Several models, including the FORD RANGER, LINCOLN NAVIGATOR, and FORD EDGE, face electrical issues. Problems affect the SYNC SCREEN, DIGITAL SAFETY SYSTEMS, and ENGINE CONTROL SOFTWARE.

These SOFTWARE ISSUES can disable PRE-COLLISION ASSIST and PANORAMIC DISPLAY features. As a result, key safety systems may stop working.

Door and Seat Failures

MUSTANG MACH-E models show VEHICLE ROLLAWAY risks. Some units also report unexpected seat movement.

Certain LINCOLN NAUTILUS and FORD EXPLORER vehicles have B-PILLAR TRIM APPLIQUES issues. Loose or misaligned parts may detach during use.

Safety Risks and Fire Hazards

UNDERHOOD FIRES and ENGINE PERFORMANCE problems continue to raise concern. Many owners report FUEL SMELL and visible FLUID LEAKS before recalls.

A faulty POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE or damaged FUEL TANK can increase fire risk. Blocked ventilation may also trigger ignition.

In rare cases, short circuits in the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM cause cabin fires. These issues often link to BLUEOVAL SK BATTERY PARK units or wiring faults in hybrid and EV models.

What to Do If You’re Affected

If your vehicle appears in the recall list, act quickly. First, check your VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (VIN) on the NHTSA website.

Next, request your OWNER NOTIFICATION LETTERS from CUSTOMER SERVICE if needed. Then, schedule a dealership visit for inspection or SOFTWARE UPDATE.

Also, save emails, receipts, and service records for warranty proof. If issues continue, request a TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. Finally, escalate the issue to the manufacturer if needed.

Industry and Legal Impact

These recalls follow concerns raised in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. INITIAL QUALITY STUDY. The report highlighted WARRANTY ISSUES and signs of INTERNAL CONTAMINATION in several FORD MOTOR COMPANY models.

Executives, including KUMAR GALHOTRA, now face pressure to rebuild trust. Even KENTUCKY-MADE VEHICLES have shown repeated problems.

Regulators continue to review compliance with FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD 108 and 135. Authorities also question the use of OVER-THE-AIR UPDATES instead of physical inspections.

Take These Actions Today

If you suspect your vehicle is affected, take action now. Visit NHTSA.gov and enter your VIN.

Search for RECALL NUMBER 25S65 or related alerts. Report repeated failures, even after repairs. Keep records of all service visits and communications.

Finally, contact a qualified legal team if you face SAFETY RISKS or financial loss due to recall delays.
